BACKPACK DRIVE:

EQUIPPING STUDENTS WITH KINDNESS AND CONFIDENCE

As part of our Kindness in Action initiative, Live Kind organizes an annual Backpack Drive to ensure that students from underserved communities start the school year equipped, confident, and cared for. This drive provides new backpacks filled with essential school supplies, such as notebooks, pencils, crayons, folders, and hygiene kitsvto children whose families may be experiencing financial hardship.

We partner with local schools, shelters, and community organizations to identify students in need. Volunteers help collect supplies, pack the backpacks with care, and distribute them during a festive back-to-school event that includes refreshments, music, and encouragement from community leaders and educators.

Our goal is not only to meet material needs but to send a message of dignity, hope, and support to each child and family. By removing barriers to basic educational tools, we empower students to enter the classroom ready to learn and thrive.

In 2025, we aim to distribute 100 backpacks and expand our reach to include rural and underserved urban schools.

This project embodies all three pillars of Live Kind:

THANKSGIVING

FOOD DRIVE

As part of our Compassion in Community pillar, Live Kind hosts an annual Thanksgiving Food Drive to ensure families facing food insecurity can gather around the table with dignity and joy during the holiday season.

We collect and distribute boxes filled with traditional Thanksgiving staples—such as turkey or gift cards, stuffing, canned vegetables, rice, beans, cornbread mix, and pie ingredients to families in need across our community. Each box also includes a handwritten note of encouragement and kindness from one of our volunteers.

Live Kind partners with local churches, schools, shelters, and community centers to identify recipients and coordinate pickup or delivery. Volunteers help collect donations, sort and pack the food boxes, and assist with distribution. In some cases, we also deliver meals directly to homebound individuals and seniors.

This drive is about more than just food, it’s about helping people feel seen, valued, and supported during a season that can be especially hard for those in crisis.

In 2025, our goal is to provide 50 Thanksgiving boxes and expand our reach to more rural or underserved communities.

CHRISTMAS

TOY DRIVE:

SPREADING JOY,

ONE GIFT AT A TIME

Through our Kindness in Action and Compassion in Community pillars, Live Kind hosts an annual Christmas Toy Drive to ensure that every child, regardless of their circumstances, experiences the magic of the holiday season.

We collect new, unwrapped toys, books, and games for children of all ages, and distribute them to families in need through local shelters, schools, churches, and community organizations. Our goal is to ease the financial burden on parents and caregivers while delivering joy, dignity, and hope to children who might otherwise go without.

Volunteers help sort and wrap gifts, organize distribution events, and create a festive atmosphere for participating families. In some communities, we also host holiday celebrations where children can enjoy music, crafts, and even a visit from Santa.

Each toy represents more than just a gift, it’s a message of love, care, and belief in the joy of childhood.

In 2025, we aim to serve 200 children and expand our reach to families experiencing housing instability or recovering from hardship.
